Hi there, I'm Patricia Dioso from Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Radley and we are the lucky parents of 3 beautiful children: Ryan, Vanessa, and Aaron. I was an Operations Manager for 15 years before I became a stay at home mom.

Transitioning from a 9-5 to a 24 hour, full-time mom was not easy. When life got busier and changing diapers became second nature, crafting became my solitude. I did a bit of sewing making garments, toys, bags and quilts for my family. The bulk of everything I made was for them, and seeing their faces brighten at the sight of something new and handmade encourages me to keep going.

I picked up knitting in 2014 and fell in love. It satisfies my need to create wherever I am with minimal tools. It’s relaxing, meditative and therapeutic. It’s my passion.

As an avid knitter and a bag lover, I designed the project bags to match my aesthetic keeping it simple yet stylish to let the true star of the show shine – the yarn!

I am the sole maker behind every product dedicated to produce the highest quality possible. Pearadise Island goods are handcrafted in small batches. I screen print, sew, take photos and package each item. Illustrations are original works of art by my husband. Thank you for supporting handmade!
